Video Video Video. Are you fed up of people talking about how video is the future and if you aren’t doing video you are doing your marketing wrong? If you are, probably stop reading now and have a cup of tea, because… if you’re not doing video, you’re doing marketing wrong!
I kid, obviously, you can do your marketing whichever way you like. However, there is no denying that video is making waves, and if you are the sort of person who wants to be riding that wave, then I am here to help.
I have been making video content for about 6 years now, so I know how much equipment costs and how much professional videographers charge, but there is an alternative. Almost all of u carry around a supercomputer in our pockets, one that is can take, editing and distributing video easily and quickly. Your smartphone is the key to starting in video, and I am running a workshop to help new and micro business owners get their head around smartphone video for their business, without the need to spend a whole heap of money on equipment or crews.
The workshop will focus around producing a classic ‘talking head’ video, but many of the techniques can be used in all sorts of video projects. It will cover the fundamentals of lighting, audio and scene set up, as well as the best apps to use and essential hacks and accessories to give you a more professional edge.
This is my first workshop, so it’s a bit of an experiment for me but I really feel that it offers people an easy first step into video, and can help people realise the value that video can bring to their business with minimal outlay.
The workshop will be held at the Natural Entrepreneur Workspace in Fulford, York on December 11th, 2018. I will be looking to run it again in the new year, as well as potentially running some other workshops around smartphone photography and understanding design for business owners. If you have any question, please feel free to contact me and ill get back to you.
You can book tickets here on Eventbrite! Places are limited so don’t delay!
I hope to see you there.
